I am a lifelong resident of the Nebraska Panhandle. I grew up in Bridgeport. My father was a conductor for BNSF railroad out of Alliance for 35 years. My mother worked as a teacher's aid for several years. I live with my wife, Elisa, son Bo, and step-daugter Madison in Bridgeport.
I attended Bridgeport High School where I graduated Valedictorian in 2001. After High School I attended Hastings College where I worked toward my Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Philosophy, while playing baseball for the Broncos. In 2005 I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Hastings College. After graduating from Hastings I accepted a scholarship to attend Texas Tech University School of Law.
In August 2008, I graduated from Texas Tech University School of Law with a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) and from Texas Tech University Rawls School of Business with a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA). Following graduation from law school, and prior to sitting for the bar exam, I accepted a position as a law clerk with the Scottsbluff-based law firm of Sorensen, Mickey, and Hahn, P.C.
In February of 2009, I sat for the Texas Bar Exam. Upon passing the Texas Bar Exam, I received reciprocal licensing in the State of Nebraska in December of 2009, at which time I accepted a position as an Associate with Sorensen, Mickey, and Hahn, P.C. Today I remain a member of both the State Bar of Texas and State Bar of Nebraska.
In February of 2010, I filed to run for County Attorney for Morrill County. Following a succesful campaign, I was elected in November 2010 and assumed office in January of 2011. I continued to work with Sorensen, Mickey, and Hahn, P.C. while simultaneously serving as Morrill County Attorney until April of 2011, at which time I left the law firm to start Rodak Law Office.
Since Rodak Law Office opened its doors in April of 2011, I have provided legal services to hundreds of clients in a variety of practice areas. I also provide legal services to a variety of counties, cities, villages, and other municipalites and political subdivisions throughout the Nebraska Panhandle.
As a prosecutor in multiple counties I have significant litigation experience, where I have tried numerous cases both to the Court and to a Jury. This courtroom experience has allowed me to polish my civil litigation skills to the point where I have also successfully litigated numerous civil matters on behalf of my non-prosecutor clients in a variety of practice areas including landlord/tenant, adoption, bankruptcy, family law, contracts, and many other civil matters.
At my Main Street Bridgeport location I am located less than a block from the Morrill County Courthouse. When it comes to office hours, I pride myself on having an "open door" policy where walkin clients and potential clients are always welcome with or without an appointment. Whether you need to talk about a county matter, need to hire an attorney to assist you with a civil matter, or just want to stop by and say hi, I look forward to meeting and serving you.
